An earthquake that happened during the night of 26th November, 2019 in Albania created a national tragedy for us, Albanians. 40 people have died so far, hundreds have been injured and thousands have remained homeless.
This tragedy was brought to us by nature. And we can’t do anything about it, but mourn, cry to the silent heavens in pain, and work to support the families of the victims of the earthquake with what we can. And then rebuilt what has been destroyed.
Still in this pain and hopelessness, I see love and humanity. I see love among the Albanians. And among the Balkan nations.

I see Albanians, who hate each other every day, coming to help each other. I see our Balkan neighbours, that hate us and that we hate them in turn, coming to help us.
So I see human love and humanity in pain.
In Albania are rescue teams currently from Italy, Greece, Kosovo, France, Serbia, Turkey, Croatia and more nations coming to support us in these hard days.
And it is in such form of unity and support, when one nation or person is having difficult times, that I see love and humanity.
But at the very bottom this is a humanity that goes beyond the idea of Albanian and Balkan nations. And this form of human unity and love goes deep to the ideal of Humanity. And reaches out for the human ideals, one world and one humanity united in good and evil and working for a better world.

Alas, but it seems that “will to power,” and the economical interest or economical idea, that is the crux of will to power, has alienated us as humans nationally and internationally.
Essentially though, we are still humans created to live among each other, share love and the planet together. And one day, to pass away and become one with our Mother Nature.
